Dream Walking
Another gift, handed down by her mother and her mother's side of the family. It is something that only the females of the Kincaid bloodline could pass down, although no one is sure as to why it is only the females that can inherit such an ability. As legend goes, or so Brynn was told when she was young, the very first female Kincaid, Aila, came to the aid of one of the great Primes during a brief confrontation between Them, and one of the Dark Primes, while most of the males from their tribe hid in fear. As a reward for her courage and dedication, the Prime bestowed upon Aila the ability to dream walk. The ability to be able to reach out to others in their dreams if they were otherwise inaccessible, and communicate with them as if they were in the same room. The ability to see their greatest desires, and greatest fears, should she choose. As punishment for the males' cowardice, the Prime make it so that only the females of the Kincaid bloodline would be able to use this gift. Although it was not to be abused, lest the ability would be taken away as easily as it was given.
While Brynn has used this gift, she does not like to do so without obtaining some form of permission from the other before doing it. She feels it is a violation of their privacy. Plus, with almost everyone's natural defenses, if she attempted to slip into the dream of someone who was completely unaware of who she was, her target's mind would reject her, and it would feel like hitting a mental brick wall. The person also must have the same spirit/aura, and she must also be asleep to be able to use this gift.
Possessions
Amulet of Disguise
A simple, golden amulet, that has been passed down to Brynn from her mother, and her mother before that, and her mother before that... so on and so forth, dating back generations. Although Brynn has no idea why her deceased mother had such a trinket, she has finally discovered how to use it in times of need. It can only change her into one form, human, but it would be enough to throw off someone who was looking for a human girl, not a lioness. It is made of gold, and has several ancient runes carved into it of a language and civilization long since extinct.
Ithiel and Anar
Like any good weapon, her bow has a name, Ithiel, while the quiver is named Anar. Both are Elvish (just like the bow and quiver themselves), with Anar meaning sun, and Ithiel meaning moon. They were a gift from a once very close friend, now turned enemy, after an unfortunate turn of events.
